Takeoff, a member of the hip-hop group Migos, was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He began performing in 2008 with his cousin, Offset, and uncle Quavo. They initially performed as Polo Club, but the group changed their name to Migos in 2011.

In 2013, they released their debut album, titled “Versace.” Their biggest hits include “Bad and Boujee” and “Straightenin,” remixed by Drake.

Takeoff’s death has devastated the hip-hop community. He was the first rapper to utilize the triplet delivery style in hip-hop, and it slowly trickled into the pop world.

The rapper and his bandmates released an independent mixtape called Migos in 2011, and his track “Bando” boosted local buzz. They later became famous after releasing the single “Versace” as a single.
