  • Nigerian singers are up against Doja Cat, Silk Sonic, Giveon and Justin Bieber in the ”Top R&B Song” category.
  • Wizkid and Tems remixed an Essence song with Justin Beiber.
  • This track is off of Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ album, which became the longest-charting album on the Billboard World Albums chart.

Presented by Billboard, the 2022 Billboard Music Awards will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on 15 May to recognize outstanding music achievements based on album and digital sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring, and social engagement, among other factors.

Wizkid and Tems’ nomination at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards follows their Grammy Award loss just a couple of weeks ago for their hit song, “Essence”.
