Busoga Kingdom Announces Royal Wedding of Kyabazinga and Inebantu Jovia Mutesi

Busoga Kingdom’s Prime Minister, Dr. Joseph Muvawala, has officially announced the upcoming royal wedding between Kyabazinga William Wilberforce Nadiope Kadhumbula and Inebantu Jovia Mutesi.

KAMPALA, UGANDA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — In a grand ceremony at the Kingdom’s headquarters in Bugembe, Jinja district, Jovia Mutesi was unveiled as the Inebantu (Queen of Busoga) ahead of her royal wedding to Kyabazinga William Wilberforce Nadiope Kadhumbula on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

The announcement marked a significant moment in Busoga Kingdom’s history.

The Katukiiro of Busoga, Dr. Joseph Muvawala, revealed the royal couple’s plans, including their holy matrimony at Christ Cathedral Bugembe in Jinja City.

A virtual portrait unveiling ceremony was also conducted, garnering attention on the Kingdom’s Facebook page.

Prior to this announcement, a traditional ceremony had taken place at the ancestral home of the new Inebantu in Mayuge Town Council, Mayuge district. Dr. Joseph Muvawala further detailed that there would be a cultural function to initiate Her Royal Mutesi Jovia Mutesi into her new role.

The Katukiiro, joined by other Ministers of Busoga, shared their excitement with the media at Bugembe headquarters, emphasizing that the Inebantu had been the missing link in the life of Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV.

This union marked a significant moment in Busoga Kingdom’s history, as they eagerly awaited the upcoming royal wedding.

Jovia Mutesi has been officially announced as the Queen of Busoga Kingdom. She will marry Kyabazinga William Wilberforce Nadiope Kadhumbula on November 18, 2023, at Christ Cathedral Bugembe in Jinja City.
