Kampala, Uganda | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Ghanaian-American artist Amaarae has inked a global publishing deal with US-based Concord Music Publishing and Immensum Music. The agreement covers her entire catalog, including her 2023 album “Fountain Baby,” which has already amassed 69 million global streams.
Amaarae’s genre-blending sound, influenced by her multicultural upbringing in the US and Ghana, incorporates elements of R&B, hip-hop, punk rock, and Afropop. She has collaborated with artists like CKay and Tiwa Savage and contributed to the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” movie Prologue EP.
Her remix of “Sad Girlz Luv Money” with Latin pop artist Kali Uchis in 2021 garnered over 1.2 billion global streams and marked her as the first Ghanaian artist to debut on the Billboard Hot 100 and reach the Top 30 in the UK, New Zealand, and Switzerland.
Additionally, Amaarae starred in a campaign for fashion house Mugler’s collaboration with H&M. In 2024, she is set to embark on the “Fountain Baby” tour, with tour stops in several major cities.
