Monrovia, Liberia | NOW THEN DIGITAL — The 2023 MTN Liberia Music Awards, held in Monrovia over the weekend, crowned Nuchie Meek with the prestigious Artist of the Year Award. The accomplished artist triumphed over notable competitors such as JZyNo, MC Caro, Fazari CIC, and J Slught. Nuchie Meek also secured additional accolades, including Hipco/Trapco Song of the Year, Hipco/Trapco Artist of the Year, and Male Artist of the Year.

JZyNo and Anitram emerged as other significant winners, each claiming three and two awards, respectively. The event showcased outstanding talent and celebrated the diversity of the Liberian music scene.

In the ‘International Artist of the Year’ category, Asake triumphed over formidable Nigerian artists such as Burna Boy, Rema, Davido, and Ayra Starr.

Since its inception in 2014, the MTN Liberia Music Awards have been a platform to recognize and honor exceptional artists both in Liberia and beyond. The 2023 edition specifically acknowledged works released between August 2022 and July 2023, spanning over 20 diverse categories.
