Kasese, Uganda | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Rwenzururu king, Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma, emphasized the importance of promoting peace, security, unity, and coexistence, especially among politicians, during a thanksgiving service at St Paul Cathedral in South Rwenzori Diocese, Kasese District. He urged politicians not to divide the kingdom for personal gain and discouraged those seeking favors.

Omusinga addressed the issue of Yira state, clarifying the kingdom’s stance and attributing past confusion with the central government to internal challenges and misinformation. He stressed the need for collaboration to prevent false information from disrupting peace and stability.

Additionally, Queen Agnes Ithungu Asimawe highlighted plans to rejuvenate the Rwenzururu Nyabaghole Development Foundation to mentor young girls, focusing on various aspects, including reproductive health. The king also mentioned engagements with President Museveni to strategize for peace and development in the sub-region.
