Kampala, Uganda | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Soroti High Court is preparing to hold a special session in memory of the late Chief Magistrate, Margaret Aanyu, who recently passed away after a short illness. The session has received approval from the Chief Justice and is scheduled for Thursday, October 19, in the evening.

Justice Dr. Henry Peter Adonyo, the Soroti Resident Judge, highlighted that this special session and vigil at the Court grounds are a way to honor the late Chief Magistrate for her 14 years of dedicated judicial service. He stressed that it’s the duty of the Judiciary family in the Circuit and the entire Teso fraternity to bid her a fitting farewell, especially considering Soroti was her last court of reference.
