NAIROBI, KENYA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — K.O, Sjava, and Kwesta, prominent figures in South Africa’s music scene, are set to captivate audiences as the main attractions at this year’s Jozi Tese Festival. Scheduled to unfold at Poortjie Farm in the scenic Vaal region of Mpumalanga from November 24 to 26, the festival marks a triumphant return after a two-year hiatus.

The fourth edition of Jozi Tese has a mission: to furnish festivalgoers with an engaging, nature-immersed camping escapade. In collaboration with the Sedibeng District Municipality, the event promises an unparalleled exploration of South Africa’s rich culture and diverse musical tapestry.

In addition to the headliners, the festival boasts a vibrant lineup featuring talents like Young Stunna, Daliwonga, Blaq Diamond, Felo Le Tee, and Myztro. The musical journey continues with a stellar cast of DJs, including Ganyani, Soulsauce, Jawz, and Nomsa Ninkies.

Tshepo Riba, the festival director, shared insights into the strategic decision to relocate the event to Vaal, emphasizing the importance of providing a secure, lively space for attendees. He stated, “We acknowledge the growing readiness of people to participate in post-COVID mega music festivals and communal cultural gatherings. These sectors, along with tourism, were profoundly impacted by the pandemic. As organizers of one of Johannesburg’s premier lifestyle music festivals, we’re not only committed to making this a reality but also to showcasing Jozi’s distinctive culture and vibe in our unique way.”

“We are uniting some of the country’s top musicians under one roof, bridging the gap between established and emerging artists. This represents our proactive effort to expedite the creative sector’s recovery and provide enhanced employment opportunities in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Riba further explained.
