Now Then Digital reported that Lagu was pronounced dead early on Monday morning. Lagu’s son confirmed her passing on the morning of Monday, September 18, 2023.
A Battler to the End
Evelyn Lagu Nakabira, who had been grappling with heart and kidney complications, passed away early Monday morning while undergoing dialysis. Her son was the one to make the tragic announcement.

Throughout her illustrious music career, Evelyn Lagu Nakabira shared her gift of love-infused music and inspirational songs with her fans. She left an indelible mark on the lives of numerous fellow artists.
