TeddyRide won Artist of the Year at the 2022 MTN Liberia Music Awards (MLMAs), which took place in Monrovia at the weekend.
KAMPALA, UGANDA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — On Saturday, the winners of the 2022 MTN Liberia Music Awards (MLMAs) were announced at a ceremony in Monrovia, with TeddyRide taking home the award for Artist of the Year.
- At the weekend, the winners of the 2022 MTN Liberia Music Awards (MLMAs) were announced in Monrovia, with TeddyRide winning the coveted Artist of the Year title, while Prince B won the best new artist award.
- TeddyRide swept three awards at the 2022 MTN Liberia Music Awards, including Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Collaboration of the Year.
- Kpanto won the Male Artist of the Year award, while Nuchie Meek won Hipco/Trapco Song of the Year and Hipco Artist of the Year.
- As the winner of the ‘International Artist of the Year’ award, Kizz Daniel beat out fellow artists Burna Boy, Black Sheriff, Asake, and Fireboy DML.
With the MTN Liberia Music Awards, outstanding Liberian music feats are acknowledged, promoted and celebrated through the combination of music and fusion.
As one of the night’s biggest winners at the 2022 MTN Liberia Music Awards, TeddyRide won three other awards, including Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Collaboration of the Year.
Following TeddyRide, Eric Geso won three awards, sharing Song of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, and Traditional Artist of the Year.
The Hipco/Trapco Song of the Year and Hipco Artist of the Year went to Nuchie Meek, while Kpanto, the most-nominated act of the year, won Male Artist of the Year.
This year, Kizz Daniel won the award for ‘International Artist of the Year’. Other nominees in the category included Burna Boy, Black Sheriff, Asake, and Fireboy DML.
