Lagos, Nigeria | NOW THEN DIGITAL — The 26th MOBO Awards, celebrating Black musical talent in the UK and beyond, happened at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena. Here’s the winners’ list, featuring Nigerian musicians Asake and Limoblaze:

Limoblaze Takes Gospel Crown at MOBO Awards

Central Cee dominated the MOBO Awards, winning Best Male for the second year and Best Song for ‘Sprinter,’ a historic UK rap single with Dave that held the No. 1 spot for ten weeks.

Raye, with seven Brit Award nominations, won Best Female, marking a career turnaround after chart-topping ‘Escapism’ and her album ‘My 21st Century Blues’ in 2023.

Potter Payper won Album of the Year, beating Stormzy, Little Simz, J Hus, and Ezra Collective. Little Simz got Best Hip-Hop Act, K-Trap retained Best Drill Act, and Tunde won Best Newcomer.

Inflo secured Best Producer, Sault won Best R&B/Soul Act, Ezra Collective took Best Jazz Act, and Drake and 21 Savage shared Best International Act.

Asake won Best African Act over Burna Boy, Davido, and others. Limoblaze received Best Gospel, triumphing over British acts.

The ceremony, hosted by Babatunde Aleshe and Indiyah Polack, was livestreamed on YouTube, with BBC One airing the Access All Areas show on February 9 at 11.30pm.

  • Best Caribbean music act: Valiant
  • Best jazz act: Ezra Collective
  • Best alternative music act: Skindred
  • Best electronic/ dance act: Shygirl
  • Best producer: Inflo
  • Best gospel act: Limoblaze
  • Lifetime achievement award: Soul II Soul
  • Impact award: Sugababes
  • Paving the way award: Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill
  • Pioneer award: Ghetts
