Introducing Dadaboy Ehiz, the New Host of Apple Music 1’s Africa Now Radio

Dadaboy Ehiz is the new host of Apple Music 1’s Africa Now Radio, which will be available on the streaming platform starting on 10 June.

KAMPALA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Nigerian broadcaster Dadaboy Ehiz has been named as the new host of Apple Music 1’s Africa Now Radio, featuring a wide variety of African music, which will be available on the streaming platform from June 10.

  • The show was hosted initially by Nigerian DJ and music producer Cuppy in 2020, and then by South African presenter LootLove in 2021. Africa Now Radio is the first global African radio show on Apple Music 1.
  • Featuring the latest African sounds, ‘Africa Now Radio’ With Dadaboy Ehiz will continue to offer amapiano, Afrobeats, highlife, Afro-house, hip hop and bongo flava, among others.
  • In 2013, Dadaboy Ehiz won the MTV Base VJ Search and has since worked with companies like Heineken, Coca-Cola, and Smirnoff.

Apple Music 1 launched ‘Africa Now Radio’ in 2020 as a global radio show focused on traditional as well as contemporary music from the continent.

The one-hour weekly show launched with Nigerian DJ and producer Cuppy in 2020 and South African presenter LootLove in 2021.

The radio show, ‘Africa Now Radio’ With Dadaboy Ehiz, will continue to provide an excellent source for African sounds, such as amapiano, Afrobeats, highlife, Afro-house, hip hop and bongo flava, among other African sounds.

“I am super excited to be the new host of Africa Now Radio on Apple Music 1,” Dadaboy Ehiz said.

“I’m thrilled about people experiencing African music from my point of view and being the face of such a prestigious show. We’re about to have a great time. It’s going to be a wonderful journey, so make sure you’re strapped in properly because you’re about to have one smooth ride. I’m ready!”

Who is Dadaboy Ehiz?

Originally from Lagos, Ehizojie Okeoguale alias Dadaboy Ehiz embarked on his media career as a student at Lead City University in Ibadan where he was a guest host on various shows.

In 2013, Dadaboy Ehiz was selected to take part in MTV Base’s VJ Search. He has worked with global brands such as Heineken, Coca-Cola, and Smirnoff.

Additionally, Dadaboy Ehiz is the creative force behind Dadaboy TV and The Dadaboy Show, which aim to bridge the generation gap between millennials and generations X and Z by having open and honest conversations with accomplished professionals in the creative industry.

Since its launch in 2020, ‘Africa Now Radio’ on Apple Music 1 has featured exclusive interviews with many of the continent’s best musicians, including Davido, Tems, DJ Maphorisa, CKay, Black Coffee, Omah Lay, Mr Eazi, Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Angélique Kidjo and Asa.
