Kampala, Uganda | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Sheilah Gashumba, the well-known Ugandan celebrity and CEO of NRG radio, has officially announced the end of her relationship with Derrick Ddungu, also known as Rickman Manrick.
In a statement she shared online, Sheilah expressed that despite their journey being filled with love, laughter, and personal growth, they’ve decided to go their separate ways on good terms.
“After much reflection and thoughtful consideration, Rickman Manrick and I have mutually decided to part ways,” Sheila shared.
Reflecting on their time together, Sheilah mentioned how grateful she is for the beautiful moments they shared.
As she moves forward, Sheilah has asked for some privacy to focus on herself, her career, and her friendships. She made it clear that she’s not currently looking for a new relationship.

“I would like to emphasize that I am single and not actively seeking a new relationship at the moment. My focus now is personal growth, career aspirations, and nurturing the friendships and connections that mean so much to me. I appreciate the understanding and support of our fans and followers during this time of transition,” she clarified.
She also thanked their fans for their understanding and support during this time of transition.
Their relationship, which was quite public and mostly happy, lasted for three years. Though there were talks of taking it to the next level earlier this year, they ultimately decided to part ways.
The specific reasons for their breakup weren’t mentioned in Sheilah’s statement.
Their relationship had faced criticism, including from Sheilah’s father, Frank Gashumba, who once voiced concerns about Rickman’s financial situation and appearance.
Before Rickman, Sheilah was in a relationship with socialite Ali Marcus Lwanga, also known as God’s Plan, who had children from a previous marriage.
