Lugogo, Uganda | NOW THEN DIGITAL — The highly anticipated Stress Clinic, a unique fusion of comedy and music, is set to debut its inaugural edition at UMA Showgrounds, Lugogo on November 29, 2023. The event boasts an impressive lineup of artists, headlined by the legendary Maddox Ssematimba, the sensational Winnie Nwagi, and the return of the celebrated Ugandan rapper Keko.
Joining the musical talents, Ugandan comedy icons Madrat & Chico, Maulana & Reign, Bizonto, and Agnes Akite, among others, are set to take the stage. The event will be hosted by the lively Ronnie McVex.
Paul Ampurire, Head of Communications for Stress Clinic, emphasized that the organizers are committed to delivering an unparalleled entertainment experience. The show aims to exceed audience expectations, meticulously planning every aspect, from the venue’s ambiance to the production and the stellar acts on stage.
Ampurire highlighted that Stress Clinic is not just about entertainment but also an opportunity to address the employment gap by providing a platform for young individuals supporting the entertainment ecosystem to earn a livelihood.
The inaugural event will showcase performances by the top four contestants of Sheebah Karungi’s Karma Music Next Big Star initiative, a talent search aimed at discovering Uganda’s musical gems. Sheebah and the other judges will be present at the event.
Rapper Keko, expressing her enthusiasm, noted that it felt natural for her to feature in Stress Clinic’s first edition. The event also features DJ Nimrod, DJ Niyo, and Yeffe Band, promising a memorable experience for attendees.
At the press conference held at UMA Showgrounds on Monday, the organizers conveyed their dedication to making Stress Clinic a significant platform for showcasing both raw and established talent, contributing to the vibrancy and potential of Uganda’s entertainment scene.
