TECNO has launched the Camon 40 series, featuring the Camon 40, 40 Pro, and 40 Premier. These smartphones bring fast performance, AI-powered features, a sleek design, long battery life, and a 50MP 2-in-1 camera system—all at an affordable price.

The launch took place at TECNO Mobile Uganda’s Arena Mall showroom, where media, influencers, and TECNO staff got a first-hand look at the new devices. Attendees tested the phones, played games, and enjoyed the event, which also highlighted TECNO’s efforts to create more customer-focused products.

Laura Xia, Managing Director at TECNO Mobile, described the Camon 40 as a breakthrough in AI and photography. “We call it ‘Perfect, Snap Anytime’ because it captures every moment, no matter how fast you move. Today is about celebrating innovation—don’t miss out,” she said.

TECNO continues to push mobile technology forward with advanced AI, ultra-thin designs, and powerful performance at a budget-friendly price. The Camon 40 series is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chip, delivering fast processing and impressive battery life.

The Camon 40 lineup focuses heavily on photography. It includes a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP autofocus front camera. It shoots 4K 60fps ultra-night videos with an independent imaging chip and features TECNO’s new Flash Snap technology, making it easy to capture fast-moving subjects without blur. The Sony LYT-701 sensor enhances image quality, while Universal Tone technology improves skin tone accuracy. The phones are also IP68 and IP69-rated for water resistance, making underwater photography possible.

Beyond the camera, TECNO has packed the Camon 40 with AI features, including real-time call translation, noise cancellation, auto answer, AI eraser 2.0, and Circle to Search. The phone also runs on TECNO’s Ella AI assistant for smart interactions.

Battery life is another strong point, with a 5200mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging. You can reach 50% charge in 23 minutes and 100% in just 43 minutes. The 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling and vibrant visuals.

Running on Android 15 with TECNO’s HiOS 15, the Camon 40 series is available in Emerald Lake Green, Galaxy Black, Glacier White, and Emerald Glow Green. It also features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos for an immersive audio experience.

Prices start at UGX 859,000 for the Camon 40 (8GB RAM, 128GB storage) and UGX 989,000 for the Camon 40 Pro (12GB RAM, 256GB storage). The phones are available at TECNO Mobile Uganda outlets, MTN service centers, Banana Phone World, and Jumia.

Through TECNO’s partnership with MTN Uganda, customers can buy the Camon 40 and pay in installments with the “Take Now” plan. Plus, every purchase comes with 3GB of free MTN internet for three months.

MTN Uganda’s Devices Manager, Ivan Mugambe, emphasized that this smartphone series will enhance business, education, and productivity, helping users make the most of digital opportunities.

To top it off, buying a Camon 40 from a TECNO store gives customers a chance to win AI-powered gadgets, smartwatches, earbuds, and other exciting prizes.
