Tems is bringing her Born In The Wild Tour to Johannesburg, and she’s adding something extra special—South African R&B star Elaine will be joining her as a special guest for the show.
The concert is set for March 20 at The Dome, right next to FNB Stadium in Nasrec. To make things even bigger, MTV Base has joined as the official media partner.
Elaine, known for her breakout EP Elements and smooth, soulful sound, is expected to add a distinct South African vibe to the show. Her emotional, chart-topping hits have earned her a loyal fan base, and her performance promises to be one of the night’s highlights.
Monde Twala, Senior VP at Paramount Africa, couldn’t be more excited about the collaboration. “Partnering with Tems for this monumental concert is a proud moment for us.”
”At MTV Base, we remain committed to showcasing and celebrating African artists who are shaping the future of music. This concert highlights the unifying power of music, and we’re thrilled to be part of this extraordinary journey.”
The tour takes its name from Tems’ debut album Born In The Wild, released under RCA/Since ’93. The 18-track project features hits like Me & U and Love Me Jeje and follows her earlier EPs For Broken Ears (2020) and If Orange Was a Place (2021). With a mix of R&B, Afrobeats, and Amapiano, the album also includes collaborations with Nigerian star Asake and American rapper J. Cole. Ahead of its release, Tems called it her “most special moment” yet.
