Tiwa Savage Signs Deal With Tecno Mobile to Represent Tecno Spark 9 and Camon 19

Tecno Mobile, the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer based in Shenzhen, has unveiled Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage as its latest ambassador.

KAMPALA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Tecno Mobile, a Chinese phone manufacturer with its headquarters in Shenzhen, has unveiled Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage as its latest brand ambassador.

  • Tecno Mobile, a Shenzhen-based mobile phone manufacturer this week announced Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage as its newest ambassador.
  • The announcement follows the company’s earlier partnerships with Afrobeats star Fireboy DML and Kenyan musician Otile Brown to represent the new Tecno Spark 9 and Camon 19 series.
  • The company recently launched the ‘Tecno Wallet’ financial app, designed specifically for its devices and integrated into the Camon 19 series, which offers a range of financial services and diverse payment methods.

The news follows the company’s earlier announcement of partnerships with Afrobeats star Fireboy DML and Kenyan musician Otile Brown to represent the new Tecno Spark 9 and Camon 19 series, respectively.

According to the deal, Tiwa Savage becomes the first female ambassador of Tecno in Nigeria. She will represent a wide array of Tecno phones, including a new Camon 19 series that was launched in New York on 14 June.

In its mission statement, TECNO says it aims to offer users technological innovations infused with artistic designs, as well as demonstrate its expertise in serving the young in emerging markets.

Tecno recently introduced a finance app titled ‘Tecno Wallet’ designed specifically for its devices, which is integrated into the Camon 19 series. The app offers a range of financial services and diverse payment options.

Water & Garri EP tour

In support of her Water & Garri EP, Tiwa Savage is doing a tour across North America, playing 17 shows in American and Canadian cities such as New York, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto.

The five-track album Water & Garri was released in August 2021 and features American R&B star Brandy, Nigerian R&B and Afro-fusion artists Tay Iwar and Rich King, Ghanaian Amaarae, and US rapper Nas.
