Kampala, Uganda | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Soroti High Court will host a special session in memory of Chief Magistrate Margaret Aanyu, who passed away recently. The session, authorized by the Chief Justice, is scheduled for the evening of Thursday, October 19.

Justice Dr. Henry Peter Adonyo, the Soroti Resident Judge, highlighted that this special session and vigil at the Court grounds serve as a tribute to Aanyu’s 14 years of dedicated judicial service.

As a mark of respect and in recognition of her last association with Soroti, the Judiciary and the entire Teso community are coming together to bid her a fitting farewell. Aanyu’s burial is set for Saturday, October 21, in Kasooka Village, Bukedea district.
