Ugandan singer and songwriter A Pass (real name Alexander Bagonza) is gearing up for his first-ever concert on January 31, 2025, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

The event, called “A Pass Live in Concert,” was officially announced during a press briefing on Thursday, January 16. It’s a big deal for A Pass, marking a full decade since he began his professional music career.

He’s promised fans a show like no other, with a live band and international-level production. During the press conference, he shared his excitement and gave fans a sneak peek into his preparations.

“We started rehearsals in November, continued in December, and we’re still rehearsing in January. That already shows you that I’ll give everything on stage,” A Pass said.

To make sure the concert goes off without a hitch, he’s brought in a sound engineer from abroad. “When people come to experience a concert, you have to give them their money’s worth. I’m going to be there to deliver something beautiful, and my fans are going to enjoy this show because I intend to give everything on that stage,” he added.

The press event saw fellow artists like Elijah Kitaka, Beenie Gunter, Bruno K, Ruyonga, and dancer Ritah Dancehall all coming out to support A Pass. Their presence just shows how much respect he’s earned in the industry.

A Pass has been behind some major hits over the years, including “Tuli Kubigere,” “Didadada,” “Gamulu,” “Memories” (featuring Lilian Mbabazi), “Chupa ku Chupa,” “Guliwa,” “Mariana,” “Dance Like This” (featuring Ibra Buwembo), and “Wuuyo.” Plus, his 42-track album Bagonza received rave reviews from fans. With his strong fanbase, it’s no wonder people are calling him the G.O.A.T.

I&M Bank Uganda is the official banking partner for the concert, and Raymond Kakuru, the bank’s Events and Brands Officer, expressed how excited they are to be a part of the event.

“As a bank, we are happy to be the bank partners for the A Pass Live in Concert event. It aligns with our vision of providing customers with enriching experiences, as well as connecting with them outside the banking hall,” Kakuru shared.

Tickets are already on sale. VIP tickets are priced at Shs 150,000 (cash) or Shs 120,000 via MTN MoMo, and a table for eight will cost Shs 3 million. If you’re a fan of A Pass, this is one show you don’t want to miss.
