Actress and Comedian Lebohang Mpyana, Famous for Khelina in DiepCity, Passes Away at 34

Cape Town, South Africa | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Lebohang Lettie Mpyana, a 34-year-old actress and comedian best known for her role as Khelina on the TV series “DiepCity,” has sadly passed away after a brief illness. Her family confirmed her passing with a statement on Thursday.

In “DiepCity,” Lebohang Mpyana portrayed Khelina, a nosy, self-assured, and cheerful wife to Ringtone. The show featured several renowned actors, including Dawn Thandeka King, Mduduzi Mabaso, Sonia Mbele, and Hamilton Dlamini.

Despite her 19 years of experience in the entertainment industry, her role as Khelina on Mzansi Magic’s “DiepCity” catapulted her to widespread fame. In recognition of her performance, she received the Viewers’ Choice Best Actress Award at the Royalty Soapie Awards in September 2021.
