Nigerian singer Ayra Starr’s song ‘Rush’ has gone diamond in France with 50 million equivalent streams, according to French music certification organization SNEP.

NAIROBI, KENYA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has achieved a remarkable milestone as her single ‘Rush’ attains a diamond certification in France.

The news was announced by the French music certification organization, the National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP), through their social media platform on 11 September.

SNEP declared, “The song ‘Rush’ by Ayra Starr is a certified diamond single, with 50,000,000 equivalent streams. Bravo!”

A Track from Ayra Starr’s Debut Album

‘Rush’ was initially released last year under the Mavin Global label led by Don Jazzy. It was featured as part of the deluxe version of Ayra Starr’s debut album, ’19 & Dangerous,’ which also includes a remix of the focus track ‘Bloody Samaritan’ featuring American R&B singer Kelly Rowland.

On YouTube, ‘Rush’ has garnered an impressive 232 million streams and has previously received platinum and silver certifications in Canada and the UK, respectively.

Global Tour

Currently, Ayra Starr is embarked on her ’21: The World Tour’ across North America, with the tour set to conclude on 19 September in Vancouver. Following this leg, she will continue her journey with tours across Africa and Australia starting from 30 September.

Afterward, she will embark on a European leg of the tour, commencing on 3 November in Stockholm and concluding in Zurich on 30 November.
