Kigali, Rwanda | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Tanzanian music icon Diamond Platnumz, along with East Africa’s rising stars Zuchu and Jux, is set to grace the Trace Awards & Festival 2023 in Rwanda, as announced by Trace, Visit Rwanda, and Martell.
The inaugural Trace Awards will be held at the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda on 21 October 2023. Tickets for this prestigious event are now available at www.ticqet.rw.
Diamond Platnumz and other talented artists will be part of a dazzling lineup featuring 50+ stars from Africa and the African diaspora. The ensemble includes notable names such as Davido (Nigeria), Bamby (French Guiana), Benjamin Dube (South Africa), Blxckie (South Africa), Bruce Melodie (Rwanda), Bwiza (Rwanda), Didi B (Ivory Coast), Dystinct (Morocco), Janet Otieno (Kenya), and many more.
The Trace Awards celebrate Afro-centric music across various genres, including Afrobeat, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Afro-pop, Mbalax, Amapiano, Zouk, Kizomba, Genge, Coupé Décalé, Bongo Flava, Soukous, Gospel, Rap, Rai, Kompa, R&B, and Rumba.
