Kampala, Uganda | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has announced the appointment of Byendaimira Vicent Biribonwa as the new director in charge of Physical Planning, filling a position vacant since 2020 when the former director, Moses Atwine Kananiira, resigned. Anita Kusiima has been serving in an acting capacity until Biribonwa’s appointment.
“Mr. Byendaimira Vicent Biribonwa is our Substantive Director of Physical Planning,” stated a release from KCCA’s official communication channel.
Prior to this role, Biribonwa served at the Ministry of Lands, Housing & Urban Development, holding positions such as Commissioner of Physical Planning and Acting Director for Physical Planning and Urban Development.
The recruitment process for the new director commenced in October 2023 and has now concluded with Biribonwa’s appointment.
This appointment marks a significant addition to KCCA’s Physical Planning Team, bringing valuable expertise and experience to the role.
