Atlanta, United States | NOW THEN DIGITAL — The 17th annual BET Hip Hop Awards took place at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta on Tuesday night, October 10, to honor the rap industry’s most successful artists and acknowledge the veterans who paved the way.

Fat Joe hosted and served as the executive producer for the second consecutive year, with outstanding performances by artists like Offset, Sexyy Red, and DaBaby gracing the stage. The event saw leading nominations for Cardi B and 21 Savage, each securing an impressive 12 nominations. They went head-to-head in categories such as Lyricist of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Hip-Hop Artist of the Year.

However, Cardi B did not secure any awards despite her multiple nominations. Kendrick Lamar emerged as the biggest winner of the night, clinching awards for Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, Best Live Performer, and Video Director of the Year in collaboration with Dave Free.

Various artists secured two awards each, including Drake and 21 Savage, who won Hip-Hop Album of the Year for “Her Loss” and Best Duo or Group. Additionally, Lil Durk and J. Cole were recognized for Best Collaboration and Impact Track for “All My Life.” Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock” was honored as Song of the Year and Best Hip-Hop Video, while Metro Boomin won Producer of the Year and DJ of the Year.
