Kampala, Uganda | NOW THEN DIGITAL — The nominees for the 2023 MTN Liberia Music Awards (MLMAs) were unveiled at Club Montserrado in Monrovia over the weekend, in anticipation of the main ceremony later this year.

The MLMAs, first established in June 2014, aim to recognize outstanding artists in Liberia and beyond. The 2023 edition will acknowledge works released between August 2022 and July 2023, encompassing more than 20 categories.

In the previous year, Afropop artist TeddyRide emerged as the top winner, securing the prestigious Artist of the Year award. The artist also claimed three other honors in the Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Collaboration of the Year categories.

This year’s leading nominees include JZyNo and Nuchie Meek with seven nominations each, MC Caro and Anitram with six nominations, and J Slught with five nominations.
