Liquid Intelligent Technologies, part of Cassava Technologies, introduces Gaborone Metro Ring: advanced telecommunication network, propelling local businesses and Botswana’s economy.
LAGOS, NIGERIA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a Cassava Technologies business, introduces Gaborone Metro Ring—a secure, high-speed telecom network propelling local businesses and Botswana’s economy.
Rollout occurs in two phases, aiding countless firms initially, with future expansions planned.
First phase cut costs for small to medium businesses, enhancing accessibility to data services. Odirile Tamajobe, Managing Director of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Botswana, highlights this move’s advantage. High-speed fiber access doesn’t just improve communication but drives economic and social growth.
“The launch of the first phase will reduce tariffs for local and international data products, making it more accessible to small and medium businesses that have previously been disadvantaged as compared to the larger enterprises,” Odirile Tamajobe, Managing Director of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Botswana said.
“This project is a major milestone in Botswana realising its potential as one of Africa’s growing economic hubs. The completion of the first phase reinforces Liquid’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for connectivity and aligns with our vision of a digitally connected Botswana in which no one is left behind,” Tamajobe added.
The initiative spurs employment, contributing to the country’s overall development and economic expansion. This project, targeting Gaborone’s high-density zones, transforms telecom, serving the rising need for rapid internet during local businesses’ digital transformations.
The project reflects Botswana Vision 2036—a plan to elevate the nation’s economic status—showcasing technological advancement’s role.
Liquid Botswana’s Metro Ring mirrors public-private collaboration for Botswana’s advancement. It stands as evidence of Liquid Botswana’s tech prowess and steadfast growth commitment.
