The family of Martha Ahumuza Murari has released details about her funeral after her sudden and mysterious death at Mezo Noir nightclub in Kampala on March 20.
Funeral Arrangements
A vigil will be held at Kembabazi on Friday, March 21.
A funeral service is set for Saturday, March 22, at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Church in Kampala.
That evening, another service will take place in Nyarubanga, Mbarara.
She will be laid to rest on Sunday, March 23, in Nyarubanga, Mbarara.
Ongoing Investigation
Police are still looking into what happened, suspecting poisoning as the cause of death. As part of the investigation, officers have detained Mugabo Edward, a cashier at Mezzo Noir, and his brother Kalenzi Joseph. Authorities are waiting for forensic results to confirm their suspicions.
Nightclub Temporarily Closed
Mezo Noir has shut down for now, with no word on when it will reopen. The club announced the closure on social media, saying it was due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
