Berlin, Germany | NOW THEN DIGITAL — SoundCloud has appointed Tom Sansone as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), as confirmed by CEO Eliah Seton. This announcement follows recent reports indicating that SoundCloud’s owners were considering a sale of the company for approximately $1 billion.
With over two decades of experience in the tech and music industries, Sansone is expected to play a crucial role in executing SoundCloud’s strategic roadmap. Based in New York, he will directly report to CEO Eliah Seton.

Sansone, currently a member of the board of trustees at Blair Academy, has a background as an investor, advisor, partner, and board member for various startup companies. He holds a BA in finance and accounting from Gettysburg College and an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
Prior to his role at SoundCloud, Sansone served as the CFO of Kobalt Music Group for seven years, contributing to the company’s operational restructuring, profitable growth, capital planning, and successful sale of businesses. He also held the positions of COO and CFO at Gilt Groupe for eight years. Earlier in his career, Sansone worked for Arthur Andersen and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
