Kampala, Uganda | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Ugandan entrepreneur and STV Uganda director, Hajji Sulaiman Kabangala Mbuga, popularly known as SK Mbuga, has taken the lead in fundraising efforts to support the medical treatment of Linda Ainembabazi. Linda, a 15-year-old aspiring news anchor, is battling Fibrosarcoma stage 3 cancer, and SK Mbuga has donated Shs4 million to aid in her treatment.

The fundraising initiative gained momentum when Linda’s initial diagnosis of Leukemia prompted a call for financial assistance. However, after seeking medical attention in India, Linda received a new diagnosis of Fibrosarcoma stage 3 cancer, necessitating urgent and costly treatment.

Faced with significant medical expenses, Linda’s family reached out to the public and well-wishers for support. SK Mbuga, along with other contributors like Frank Mwesigye, played a pivotal role in raising over Shs53 million for Linda’s medical care.

In a heartfelt tweet, SK Mbuga underscored his commitment to the cause: “Let’s join hands and save this little soul, for ‘whoever saves a life, it’s equivalent to saving the entire mankind.’ I’ve contributed 4 Million Shillings towards this noble cause.”

A video shared on Sudhir Byaruhanga’s social media showcases Linda Ainembabazi expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the fundraising campaign. Despite the challenges, Linda remains optimistic, and her medical team shares confidence in her recovery.
