Global ticketing provider Ticketmaster Entertainment, headquartered in Los Angeles, today announced it is expanding into Africa with a new office in Cape Town, South Africa.
KAMPALA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Ticketmaster Entertainment, the world’s largest ticket marketplace and provider of global ticketing products and services with headquarters in Los Angeles, announced today that it will open an office in Cape Town, South Africa.
- Today, Ticketmaster Entertainment announced it would launch operations in South Africa with its headquarters in Cape Town.
- Ticketmaster Entertainment is one of the biggest ticket marketplaces in the world and a global provider of ticketing products and services.
- A few years ago, Ticketmaster merged with Live Nation to form a new company called Live Nation Entertainment.

In 2010, Ticketmaster and Live Nation merged to create the entity known as Live Nation Entertainment.
In addition, Live Nation’s company said that artists, promoters, festivals, and venues, as well as sports teams, will be able to access its suite of products and digital ticketing tools designed to improve fan experiences.

Ticketmaster’s South Africa division comes after the announcement of its Attractions segment earlier this month. Attractions offers services and technology to immersive event producers, exhibit operators, and promoters.
This news follows a very successful marketing campaign for Canadian pop star Justin Bieber’s Justice World Tour, which has been billed as the first major international concert to sell out entirely online in South Africa.
