UNEB officials are scheduled to brief the Education Minister on January 24, 2024, at 11:00 am, with the official release following the next day.

To ensure a smooth briefing, education officials attending have been asked to take a COVID-19 test on January 23, 2024, at Mulago Platinum Centre from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Earlier this week, UNEB Spokesperson Jennifer Kalule mentioned that the board had requested a meeting with Minister Janet Museveni before making the results public. This pre-release briefing allows the board to discuss learner performance with the Minister.

Following the release, the Senior One selection process will kick off at UMA, where schools will choose candidates based on set cut-off points. In 2023, a total of 749,347 pupils, comprising 391,558 females and 357,789 males, took the PLE.
