The Nigerian King of Afropop, Wizkid, announced a release date for his upcoming album “More Love, Less Ego. He said that “More Love, Less Ego” will hit stores on August 5, 2022.

KAMPALA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Starboy Entertainment CEO Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has confirmed the release date for his fifth studio album, “More Love Less Ego,” which will be dropping on August 5, 2022.

  • Wizkid announced an upcoming album called ‘More Love, Less Ego’. The project is set to release on the 5th of August 2022, barely two months from now.
  • On his Instagram story, Wizkid also thanked Naira Marley, Skepta, Ayra Starr, TY, BNXN and Flame for contributing to the album.
  • Wizkid’s last album “Made In Lagos” did well, and ‘Essence’, a Grammy-nominated single from the project, became a global hit.

In an Instagram story shared earlier today, the Grammy Award-winning singer, Wizkid gave fans a taste of a new track expected to appear on his forthcoming album and mentioned a number of artists expected to appear on the record.

Wizkid indicated that the ‘More Love Less Ego’ album will be released on the 5th of August 2022, just two months from now. In anticipation, at least one new song is expected to be released before then.

In the Instagram story, Wizkid also remarked on how thankful he was to Naira Marley, Skepta, Ayra Starr, TY, BNXN and Flame for their contributions to the album.

His latest album, “Made In Lagos”, was largely successful and enjoyed a great deal of international success, with the Grammy-nominated single “Essence” from the album becoming a global hit.

As a final touch to its success, the album was nominated for a Grammy at the 63rd Grammy Awards in the category of ‘Best Global Music,’ but lost to Angélique Kidjo.
