Afrobeats artist Burna Boy as well as other Nigerians have been nominated in the newly-introduced Favourite Afrobeats Artist category of the 2022 American Music Awards, which recognizes the genre’s groundbreaking impact in the US and globally.
With her award-winning contribution to Wizkid’s global hit ‘Essence’, Tems leads the African contingent among the nominees for the 2022 American Music Awards. In addition to Collaboration of the Year, she received nominations in two other categories, namely Favorite Hip-Hop Song and Favorite R&B Song.
