Airtel Uganda, a leading telecom company, has entered into an agreement with Infinix to enhance smartphone penetration in Uganda.
KAMPALA, UGANDA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Uganda, a country with a youthful population, is set to witness increased smartphone access thanks to a collaboration between telecom company Airtel Uganda and smartphone manufacturer Infinix.
The aim is to empower young individuals to explore their potential and contribute to the country’s socio-economic development.
Youth Empowerment through Smartphone Access
David Birungi, the Public Relations Manager at Airtel Uganda, highlighted the importance of increasing smartphone access for the youth in Uganda.
Birungi emphasized that by providing gadgets like smartphones and reliable internet connections, the youth can engage in creative activities, entertainment, and other sectors, thereby generating income and contributing to socio-economic development.
Uganda’s Young and Growing Population
According to the 2023 National Audience Measurement Survey Report by Ipsos, Uganda has one of the youngest and rapidly growing populations in the world. With a population growth rate of 3.7% and 81% of Ugandan youths below the age of 35, the partnership between Airtel Uganda and Infinix aims to tap into this demographic and address their smartphone needs.
Exclusive Offer for Infinix NOTE30 Series
As part of the partnership, Airtel Uganda and Infinix will provide an exclusive deal for customers purchasing the NOTE30 series smartphones. Buyers will receive a complimentary 3GB data bundle every month for three months, enabling them to fully utilize their new devices and stay connected without limitations.
Enhancing the Smartphone Experience
Robin Weichao, Brand Manager at Infinix, expressed excitement about bringing the Infinix NOTE30 series to Uganda. Launch of Infinix NOTE 30 Series
The event also marked the launch of the Infinix NOTE 30 Series. The series includes the Infinix NOTE 30 VIP, NOTE 30 Pro, and NOTE 30, which boast the brand’s hallmark charging capabilities. With an improved all-round fast charge solution of up to 68W wired and 15W wirelessly, the series offers enhanced charging options for users.
Key Features of Infinix NOTE 30 Series
The Infinix Note 30, the standard version in the series, features a Helio G99 chipset and 8GB of RAM. It sports a 6.78″ LCD screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate. The device also includes a 16 MP selfie camera housed in a punch-hole design and a 64 MP main camera on the back.
