Apple Music has announced that Kash Kaaria, an Afro-pop singer-songwriter from East Africa, is the latest artist to be featured in its Up Next artist development program.

KAMPALA, UGANDA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Kenyan singer-songwriter Kash Kaaria, known by her real name Mukami Kaaria, has been chosen as the latest artist to join Apple Music’s Up Next artist development program in East Africa.

This recognition by Apple Music highlights Kaaria’s talent and represents an exciting opportunity for her to reach a wider audience.

Apple Music has announced that Afro-pop singer-songwriter Kash Kaaria, also known as Mukami Kaaria, is the latest artist to be featured in its Up Next artist development program in East Africa.

Expressing her gratitude, Kash Kaaria states, “I am truly honored to be selected as Apple Music’s Up Next artist. Kaaria’s Unique Afro-Pop Sound

From Kenya to London

Currently based in London, Kaaria’s music transcends borders, while she remains connected to her home country, frequently returning to perform at events and festivals. In 2018, she even had the honor of opening for Grammy Award-winning Jamaican artist Koffee at Nairobi’s prestigious Blankets and Wine festival.

Musical Offerings and Future Projects

Kaaria’s debut EP, “Strings Attached” (2021), released through Black Icon Entertainment and available for streaming on Apple Music, beautifully blends classical and futuristic elements, exploring universal themes of love and self-discovery.

Her upcoming double volume EP, “Acme,” set for release in July, promises to further showcase her talent for genre-fusion.
