NAIROBI, KENYA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Congolese musician Tresor, who’s based in South Africa, just inked a major deal with Sony Music Publishing that’s set to send his music soaring across the globe. Under this partnership, Tresor’s tunes will be published worldwide through Sony Music Publishing, as well as Jacquel Music Publishing, a branch of Tresor’s own Jacquel Entertainment Group.
Tresor expressed his excitement, calling this moment a significant milestone in his musical journey.

Tresor, born Mukengerwa Tresor Riziki in Goma, DRC, has been making waves in the Afropop scene since he moved to South Africa. He’s garnered awards and collaborated with top local musicians like AKA, Msaki, and Beatenberg.
Beyond his music, Tresor is involved in various projects, including the Hunter’s X Jacquel Culture House (JCH), launched in April. This platform features workshops and talent search campaigns, offering opportunities for up-and-coming artists in South Africa looking to break into the music industry.
Additionally, Tresor recently received the honor of being inducted into the Recording Academy’s class of 2022.
