Kigali, Rwanda | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Tanzanian Bongo Flava legend and music industry veteran, Diamond Platnumz, is set to grace the Trace Awards & Festival 2023 in Rwanda. He will be joined by two emerging talents from East Africa, Zuchu and Jux. The first-ever Trace Awards is scheduled for October 21, 2023, at the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda. Tickets for this prestigious event are already available on the official website.

Diamond Platnumz and his fellow performers will be part of an illustrious lineup that brings together over 50 stars from Africa and the African diaspora. This includes artists like Davido (Nigeria), Bamby (French Guiana), Benjamin Dube (South Africa), Blxckie (South Africa), and many more. The event promises a diverse array of music genres, from Afrobeat to Dancehall, Hip Hop, Afro-pop, and more.

The Trace Awards aims to celebrate and recognize the richness and diversity of Afro-centric music, with artists competing in 26 award categories. These artists hail from various countries across Africa, South America, the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, and Europe. For the full list of nominations, you can refer to the official website.

This event is designed for enthusiasts of African and Afro-inspired music and culture. The Trace Awards will be broadcast live on October 21, 2023, on Trace TV channels, radio, digital channels, global streaming platforms, national terrestrial TV, and satellite channels. The broadcast is expected to reach over 500 million fans across 190 countries, creating a significant impact on the music industry and its enthusiasts.
