Flavia Tumusiime is no longer with Capital FM, but she will be hosting the show on the same network, Desert Island Discs. She is married to Andrew Kabuura
KAMPALA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — After 16 years, Flavia Tumusiime Kabuura is quitting her job at Capital FM. She was the mid-morning show presenter. Her final show date will be 31 August 2022.
- Flavia Tumusiime is leaving Capital FM after a long career. She joined the radio station in 2006 and has been presenting the ‘AM to PM’ mid-morning show on the station since that time.
- She previously quit NTV, but has been working in media for over 20 years. Tumusiime is married to Andrew Kabuura, and together they have a son called Liam Ahabwe Kabuura.
- She also starred as Kamali Tenywa in Nana Kagga’s television series Beneath the Lies, which aired on Urban TV. She has appeared on television as a guest on several occasions.

“It has been a life and career-changing experience for me since 2006. The time has come again for me to stretch my potential and see what else I can become,” she said.
“Allow the humble brag that we pulled the best English midmorning show in the country consistently all these years. Bravo! Thank you for the patience, guidance and tremendous support over these years,” she added.
She has been working in the media industry since she was a teenager. Before joining Capital FM, she was a presenter on WBS.
In addition to being a radio and TV host, Tumusiime also co-hosted the Guinness Football Challenge in 2011. She is a native of Kampala, Uganda. Her parents are Enoch Tumusiime and Christine Asiimwe.
She was educated at St Theresa Kisubi Primary School, Kitante Hill Secondary School and Makerere University’s Business School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international business.
In addition to presenting the Guinness football challenge, Tumusiime has also starred in several television shows. She started her career on WBS TV’s Teen’s Club and then went on to present K-files from 2010 to 2012.
In 2011, she presented the Guinness football challenge, which aired on KTN and ITV in Kenya and on NTV in Uganda. She has also worked as a VJ for Channel O. In 2012, she was also a presenter on Big Brother Africa.
Flavia Tumusiime is married to Andrew Kabuura, a radio and TV host who works currently for the NBS Sports channel in Kampala. Together, they have a son named Liam Ahabwe Kabuura.

Flavia Tumusiime hosting Desert Island Discs
According to the latest reports, Flavia Tumusiime will not be leaving Capital FM but is leaving her mid-morning show.
Today, the broadcaster confirmed that Tumusiime will be hosting a show called “Desert Island Discs”. She is set to begin on 4th September 2022.
She tweeted:
