In addition to sending and receiving messages, customers can also use their points to pay for goods and services from MTN stores.

The MTN Senkyu program is now being digitalized in Uganda, with more merchants becoming part of the program.

The MTN Group launched its OXyGEN transformation program in 2019, with the goal of making the entire company a digital business.

Points expire if unused

The MTN Senkyu Program is an improvement of MTN’s 1-4-1 loyalty program, which offered subscribers rewards and privileges.

Previously, points were only redeemable for airtime and data. Now, points are redeemable for a range of services.

Members of the program include postpaid and prepaid MTN subscribers, who can use their points to make calls and internet purchases.

The expiry of the points is three months from the date of redemption.

The MTN Senkyu program is currently undergoing a digital transformation in Uganda.

As part of this, the MTN Group has launched its OXyGEN transformation program, which aims to shift the company from a communications service provider to a digital one.

This means the MTN Senkyu program has been integrated with mobile money in Uganda and will be expanded to include more merchants.
