Mavin Records, founded by Don Jazzy, signs Lifesize Teddy, a rapper, poet, singer, and songwriter.

LAGOS, NIGERIA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Mavin Records, led by Don Jazzy, introduces rapper, poet, and singer Lifesize Teddy as its recent addition. The label unveiled her on August 9, accompanying her debut EP release. Boy Spyce and Bayanni followed a similar pattern.

Lifesize Teddy’s EP is accessible for streaming and download across digital platforms. Don Jazzy, Mavin Records’ founder, highlighted the significance of artist discovery and hard work.

“Unveiling a new artist happens in accordance with the laid down process of the Mavin Academy, and is a testament of our faith in them and the coming together of our hard work,” Don Jazzy said.

Peter Tega Oghenejobo, the COO, praised Lifesize Teddy’s unique style, creativity, and artistic growth. He credited Don Jazzy’s consistent artist support and thanked the Mavin team for realizing the founder’s vision.

Born as Banigo Apiafi Treasure, Lifesize Teddy ignited her music journey at nine, crafting songs. Drawn to rap at 12 by Kanye West’s influence, she cites Lucky Dube, Rihanna, and Brenda Fassie as inspirations.
