- In advance of the awards ceremony on 26 November, the nominees for the 2022 MTN Liberia Music Awards (MLMA) were announced in Monrovia at the weekend.
- Teddyride and PCK score seven nominations each, while Eric Geso grabbed six nominations. Kpanto leads this year’s list of MLMA most-nominated acts, after being shortlisted in 10 categories.
- Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, Black Sheriff, Asake, and Fireboy DML are among the West African nominees in the category ‘International Artist of the Year’ at the 2022 MTN Liberia Music Awards.
Taking place for the fifth year in a row, the MTN Liberia Music Awards highlight and celebrate outstanding Liberian and African music performers.
The most-nominated acts at the MLMAs this year include Kpanto, who has been shortlisted in 10 categories. Teddyride and PCK were both nominated in seven categories, while Eric Geso had six nominations.
Several West African artists have been nominated for the 2022 MTN Liberia Music Awards in the ‘International Artist of the Year’ category, including Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, Black Sheriff, Asake, and Fireboy DML.
