Rwanda’s President, Paul Kagame, has chosen his daughter, Ange Kagame, to be the Deputy Executive Director of the Strategy and Policy Council at the Office of the President.
KIGALI, RWANDA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Rwanda’s President, Paul Kagame, appointed his daughter, Ange Kagame, as Deputy Executive Director of the Strategy and Policy Council at the Office of the President.
Additionally, Setti Solomon, formerly the commercial attaché at the Rwandan embassy in Washington DC, was assigned as Chief Strategy and Communications Officer at Rwanda Development Board (RDB). These appointments were made during a cabinet meeting chaired by President Kagame.
The Office of the Prime Minister also announced other significant appointments. Dan Munyuza, former Inspector General of Police (IGP), will now serve as Rwanda’s ambassador to Egypt.
Maj Gen Charles Karamba, the former envoy to Tanzania, has been named Rwanda’s ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, taking over from Hope Tumukunde Gasatura.
Furthermore, Michel Sebera has been appointed as Rwanda’s first ambassador resident in Guinea, while Shakila Kazimbaya Umutoni will serve as the new envoy to Morocco, replacing Zaina Nyiramatama.
Notably, François Ngarambe, the immediate former secretary-general of the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi), was appointed as the Chairman of the Chancellery for Heroes, National Orders, and Decorations of Honor (CHENO).
He had served as RPF secretary-general for 21 years before being succeeded by Wellars Gasamagera in April, as reported by New Times Rwanda.
