The Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC) has made a significant leadership change, appointing Associate Professor Sudi Nangoli as the new Managing Director.

KAMPALA, UGANDA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — The Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC) has announced the appointment of Associate Professor Sudi Nangoli as the new Managing Director, taking over from Kenneth Oluka, who served as the acting Managing Director.

Prof. Nangoli’s vast experience and expertise are expected to drive the corporation towards fulfilling its mandate.

Expertise in Printing and Publishing Industry

Prof. Nangoli’s appointment comes with a wealth of experience in the printing and publishing industry.

He has made significant contributions through his involvement in reviewing, editing, developing, and publishing high-quality peer-reviewed articles in both international and local forums, according to UPPC’s statement.

“Prof. Nangoli has contributed to the printing and publishing industry through reviewing, editing, developing and publishing peer reviewed quality articles in the international and local for a,” UPPC said on Monday afternoon.

“Prof. Nangoli brings a wealth of experience in management and research knowledge in improving revenue performance, enhancing business survival and growth, project management, building social networks among others.”

A Distinguished Background in Management and Research

With a strong background in management and research, Prof. Nangoli brings valuable knowledge to UPPC.

He has excelled in areas such as improving revenue performance, enhancing business survival and growth, project management, and building social networks, among others. His expertise will play a crucial role in propelling the corporation forward.

Impressive Academic and Professional Background

Prof. Nangoli joins UPPC from Makerere University Business School (MUBS), where he held a senior management position since 2014 and served as the acting Dean at the Faculty of Business Administration.

Prior to that, he held leadership roles at Busitema University, including Dean and Programme Controller for the Faculty of Management Sciences. He also serves on the Board of its Fund Company.

Prof. Nangoli has an impressive track record of international consulting assignments, having worked with esteemed organizations such as the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Uganda, the Somali Disaster Resilience Institute, and the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).

His specialities include strategic management, business management, mindset change, entrepreneurship, and project management.

Qualifications and Professional Memberships

Prof. Nangoli holds a PhD in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, specializing in project management. He is a member of ACCA-UK (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and CPA-U (Certified Public Accountants of Uganda), highlighting his dedication to professional excellence.

The appointment of Prof. Nangoli as the new Managing Director ushers in a new era for UPPC, as his expertise and leadership are expected to steer the corporation towards success in fulfilling its publishing mandate.
