The late South African rapper AKA won the DStv Content Creator Award for Song of the Year with ‘Lemons (Lemonade).’
NAIROBI, KENYA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — The late South African rapper AKA won the Song of the Year Award at the DStv Content Creator Awards 2023 for his song ‘Lemons (Lemonade)’ featuring Nasty C.
AKA’s posthumous recognition was part of the second edition of the awards held in Johannesburg.
AKA’s nominated songs, ‘Company’ featuring KDDO and ‘Lemons (Lemonade)’ featuring Nasty C, were from his album Mass Country, featuring various local and international artists.
Tragically, AKA was shot dead in Durban on February 10th, along with his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane.
