KAMPALA, UGANDA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — The organizers of Afro Nation have revealed the inaugural wave of artists set to grace the stage at its much-anticipated Lagos debut. The star-studded lineup includes Nigerian talents Burna Boy, Flavour, Seyi Vibez, Ghanaian sensation Black Sherif, and British-Gambian rapper J Hus.
Scheduled at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos on December 19 and 20, the urban festival promises an electrifying experience with additional artist announcements on the horizon.
Having already made waves with successful US events at LoanDepot Park in Miami and a Detroit edition earlier this year, Afro Nation expands its horizons to Nigeria, a testament to its global acclaim.
Afro Nation is renowned for featuring top Afrobeats stars, historically boasting the likes of Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, alongside international pop icons such as Usher and Chris Brown. The festival has previously graced locations like Portugal, Puerto Rico, and Mexico, captivating audiences with pulsating music and vibrant performances.
The forthcoming Afro Nation Nigeria edition is expected to showcase multiple stages and a diverse array of leading artists spanning amapiano, Afro-house, hip hop, R&B, and dancehall, solidifying its status as a global musical extravaganza.
In collaboration with Live Nation, SMADE Entertainment, and MOT, Afro Nation continues to shape the Afrobeats landscape, with initiatives like the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart and the Official Afrobeats Chart on BBC Radio 1Xtra, showcasing its far-reaching impact.
