Adam Kungu, is now the Radio 4 station manager. Kungu shared the news on his Twitter account, expressing his readiness for the challenge.

KAMPALA, UGANDA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Experienced multimedia journalist, Kungu Al-mahadi Adam (Adam Kungu), known for meticulous fact-checking and research, has been named the manager of Radio 4.

Adam Kungu shared the news on his official Twitter account, expressing his readiness for the role.

“Humbled and honoured to be appointed Station Manager, Radio 4. I’m looking forward to the challenge,” he tweeted on Friday.

The announcement was made to staff members on Monday this week. Radio 4, located in Kampala and owned by Businessman Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi (Dr), is a lifestyle and urban radio station broadcasting on 103.3 FM. It offers programs in lifestyle, entertainment, sports, and live shows on current national issues.

Kungu, an adept political talk show host, engaged with prominent decision-makers. He previously contributed to Top Radio, Top Television, Sunrise Newspaper, SoftPower News, and Plus News Uganda.

Kungu holds a Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication from Kampala International University and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Mass Communication there.

Joining BABA Television and Radio 4 in November 2020, he continues to host political talk shows.

In earlier events this year, he and colleague Simon Muyanga Lutaaya were suspended for airing a satirical clip criticizing parliament’s motion of censure against Minister Persis Namuganza, who had accused the assembly of biased treatment.
