Tamia Hill, the esteemed R&B singer and songwriter hailing from Canada, is set to grace South Africa’s shores once again for a highly-anticipated three-city tour later this year. 

KAMPALA, UGANDA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Canadian-born R&B singer and songwriter Tamia Hill is set to grace South Africa’s stage once again with her soulful tunes. The multi-Grammy-nominated performer has been to the country’s shores thrice in the past decade and is eager to return for a three-city tour later this year.

  • Tamia’s loyal fans can look forward to experiencing her electrifying live performances and hearing her soulful hits such as So Into You, Still, and Stranger in My House.
  • Tamia’s remarkable career has spanned decades, releasing multiple albums and collaborating with several international musical icons.
  • The artist’s breakthrough in the industry came when she collaborated with celebrated music producer Quincy Jones on the classic album Q’s Jook Joint in 1998, followed by the release of her self-titled debut.

The highly esteemed Tamia will commence her tour on Tuesday, July 4 at the Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town. On Saturday, July 7, she will be captivating the audience at the Durban ICC before concluding her tour on Saturday, July 8 at the SunBet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria.

Tamia has established herself as a music powerhouse with multiple albums to her name and collaborations with several international musical icons. She is also renowned for her philanthropic work within the music industry throughout her career.

Tamia’s musical career received a significant boost after collaborating with celebrated music producer Quincy Jones on the classic album Q’s Jook Joint in 1998, followed by the release of her self-titled debut.

The debut album earned her three Grammy nominations, including the best female R&B vocal performance for You’ve Put A Move On My Heart, the best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocal for Slow Jams featuring Babyface, and the best pop collaboration with vocals for her work with Brandy, Gladys Knight, and Chaka Khan on the single Missing You from the Set It Off soundtrack.
