All Africa Music Awards 2022 Nominees: The Complete List

The African Union Commission and the International Committee of All Africa Music Awards have released the official list of nominees for the All Africa Music Awards 2022.

KAMPALA, UGANDA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — The official list of the All Africa Music Awards 2022 (AFRIMA) nominees has been announced. The awards ceremony, hosted by the African Union Commission, will honour the best in African music in 39 categories.

The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) is an annual event that celebrates the best of African music. The awards are open to musicians, producers, and unrecorded artists. They will be held on 8-11 December 2022.
The ceremony will feature four days of music, paillettes, and glamour. This event is set to celebrate l’Afrique and break down cultural and economic boundaries.
In the 2022 AFRIMA edition, the public voting portal will be open beginning Sunday, September 25, 2022, at 12:00 pm CAT through the official website at www.afrima.org. Voting will close on December 10, 2022, before the main awards ceremony.

The 2022 AFRIMA list features some of South Africa’s biggest stars, including Costa Titch, who has six nominations. Also on the list is Black Sherif. He is vying against Burna Boy, Fireboy DML, Kizz Daniel, and Rema for the ‘Song of the Year’ honours.

The most popular 2022 All Africa Music Awards nominees from East Africa are Diamond Platnumz, Eddy Kenzo, King Saha, Spice Diana, Rayvanny, and Zuchu. Costa Titch, Focalistic, Kabza De Small and CKay have also been nominated.

The All Africa Music Awards ceremony will take place on 8 and 11 December 2022. An announcement will be made on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, regarding the host country and location.

During the AFRIMA 2022 edition, the public voting portal will be available from 12 noon CAT on Sunday, September 25, 2022. To vote, please visit the official website at www.afrima.org. The voting will close at 12 noon (CAT), on December 10, 2022, just prior to the ceremony of the main awards.
