Afro-fusion musician Burna Boy has released his sixth full-length album, ‘Love, Damini’. It consists of 19 songs and can be streamed and downloaded on all major digital platforms.
KAMPALA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Nigerian global superstar Burna Boy has released his sixth full-length album called ‘Love, Damini’. The album, which features 19 songs, can be purchased or streamed on most major digital platforms.
- After announcing he would be releasing a new album during his headlining set at Madison Square Garden in April, Burna Boy has now released LOVE DAMINI.
- Featuring the singles “Kilometre” and “Last Last”, Love Damini is Burna Boy’s follow-up to 2020’s Grammy-winning Twice As Tall.
- Burna Boy’s collaboration with Sheeran, “For My Hand,” was also released today. Next up, Burna Boy embarks on his Love, Damani Summer 2022 tour, which starts on July 17 at Tipsy All White Beach Party and ends in Atlanta on July 30.
Burna Boy announced recently that he was working on a new album during a headlining set at Madison Square Garden, and now LOVE DAMINI is here.
Taking inspiration from Burna Boy’s first name, Love, Damini follows up 2020’s Grammy-winning Twice As Tall, and features the singles ‘Kilometre’ and ‘Last Last’.
There are heavyweight international acts like Kehlani, Khalid, J Balvin, Popcaan, J Hus, and Ed Sheeran featured on ‘Love, Damini’ by Burna Boy.
‘Love, Damini’ fuses everything from Afrobeats, dancehall, reggae and hip hop – and takes on the subject of love. The Grammy award-winning vocalist says the project will also invite listeners to embrace other feelings as well.
“After turning 30, birthdays seem to make you reflect on your life choices, or a lack thereof – your goals, dreams, hopes, achievements and fears. Even though it put me in a vulnerable place, it also challenged me to do and feel more,” he said.
“I want you to listen to this and feel like it’s a roller-coaster ride. Catch a vibe, buss a whine, party like it’s your birthday, or even grab a tissue. I’ve got you, always.”
The album release was followed up by the release of the video for Burna Boy’s collaboration with Ed Sheeran, “For My Hand.” Next, Burna Boy is set to embark on his Love, Damani Summer 2022 tour, which kicks off on July 17 at Tipsy All White Beach Party and wraps up in Atlanta on August 7.
Aside from launching Spaceship Entertainment, Burna Boy released the albums L.I.F.E (2013), On a Spaceship (2015), Outside (2018) and African Giant (2019).
