Sandrah Kahumuza Twinoburyo has announced her retirement from her role as a journalist, news anchor, and presenter for NTV Uganda, which is part of the Nation Media Group.
KAMPALA | NOW THEN DIGITAL — Sandrah Twinoburyo, the anchor of ”NTV Weekend Edition” at NTV Uganda for the past four years, announced on Twitter that she will end her tenure as a News Anchor at the channel effective “April 1st.”.
- In a tweet posted on her official Twitter account on April 1st, Sandra Kahumuza indicated that she intends to leave the station at the beginning of the month.
- Several of his followers regarded it as a fools day tweet, as it attracted a lot of attention.
- In the meantime, inside sources from NTV Uganda indicate Sandrah Twinoburyo has been replaced by Mildred Pedun.
- It should be noted that Sandrah is still employed by NTV Uganda. She only left the weekend edition for the weekday edition of ‘NTV Tonight’.

The announcement was made in a tweet sent through Sandra Kahumuza’s official Twitter account, in which she indicated she will be departing from the station as of April 1st.

During the day, the tweet attracted a lot of attention from his followers, many of whom considered it a fools day joke. While Sandrah left NTV Weekend to join NTV Tonight, she continues to work for NTV Uganda.
In 2018, Sandra Kahumuza was hired to replace Rachael Arinaitwe Mwine, who left NTV Uganda after working there for seven years.
In an intro to her journey and life story, Rachael Arinaitwe Tibarokoka Mwine announced that she is leaving NTV at the end of Thursday’s news show: “Tonight Rachael Arinaitwe Tibarokoka Mwine signs out.”.
When Kahumuza joined NTV Uganda, she called it “the beginning of another beautiful journey”.
On the other hand, inside sources within NTV Uganda say Sandrah Twinoburyo has been replaced by Mildred Pedun, who will take over the NTV Weekend Edition on Friday, which was Sandra Kahumuza’s last day.

Sandrah Kahumuza Twinoburyo, born 18 November 1994, is a Ugandan media personality, news anchor, news reporter, and fashionista.
She previously hosted the Talk of the Nation and was a news anchor for NTV Weekend Edition.
Previously, Sandrah Kahumuza Twinoburyo worked as a reporter on Record TV, Radio City 97FM as well as various other media outlets. Kahumuza has been passionate about journalism since she was a child.
Kahumuza completed her secondary schooling at Bweranyangi Girls’ SSS in Bushenyi District and then received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication at Makerere University.
Before she even finished her degree, Kahumuza stood out as the best English news anchor on the Inter-University Media Challenge, which won her an award, and since then, her career has continued to flourish.
